From a question to an explanation

  1. Select a passage. Activate the AI pen and circle a readable passage with Apple Pencil.
  2. Understand it in context. After your consent to AI processing, Otriva processes the selection and the context it needs. The answer appears beside your notes.
  3. Find it again. The source, connection, and explanation card are saved with the notebook. When reviewing, you can see what the answer refers to.

Try circling a passage

In the interactive web demo, circle or tap an example passage. The answers are prepared and your input is not sent anywhere. It shows the idea before you install the app.

An example from biology

Your notes on the sodium-potassium pump cover transport and energy use. Circle the unclear passage and read the explanation in the same notebook. Your original notes remain visible, so you can compare the answer with your course material.

The useful part is the connection: the explanation stays with the place where your question began.

Ask without Apple Pencil

You can also ask a question about the notes in a topic. A compatible Apple Pencil is intended for handwriting and circling passages on the page.

What does the AI cost?

Free includes five successfully delivered AI answers per calendar month and installation. Otriva Plus includes 500 answers per monthly Apple subscription period, shared across devices using that subscription. In the US, Plus costs $3.99 per month and renews until cancelled.

Before using AI

AI is optional and requires internet access and your separate consent. Your selection and the necessary context are sent to the named AI services. Answers can be wrong; check them against your materials. See the German privacy policy for the current details.
